Andrew Duffin They missed out my last paragraph:
"A monolithic, centrally-commanded, state-provided monopoly is never going to deliver the service we would like, at any cost, acceptable or otherwise. The sooner we all face up to this, the fewer people will have to die while awaiting reform - or appointments."
It is a bit wordy, and I think the letter packs more punch without it, but I was rather proud of that last sentence.
Editors. Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.
