Pull the other one

There's been much amusement about the Chancellor's dental visit:
Gordon Brown's fierce opposition to private medicine was called into question last night after it was revealed that he pays £100 an hour to be treated by one of Britain's top private dentists.
Understandably, cries of "hypocrite" are being bandied about.

But there's another angle that I've not seen mentioned.

Note this:

"Gordon is no different to the large number of people who have found themselves without an NHS dentist because he did not visit one regularly.
So let's get this straight. A man whose entire political philosophy is one of centralising the British economy and running it from his own office can't even plan the proper maintenance of his own body.

Hypocrisy is a necessary prerequisite for power. The Lizard Queen, as I've just pointed out, is of the same ilk.

It's just another case of Do As I Say Not As I Do.

At some level he's a Champagne Socialist just like all the others.

I felt it was safe to post this after visiting my (Denplan) dentist this morning and getting away within twenty minutes. He laughed when I asked if GB was the next patient.

(The 0854 "posting" time was when it was drafted, not published.)

... and even if he had visited one regularly, it wouldn't have protected him from being told by his NHS dentist that he was leaving the NHS and could only offer private treatment in future, as has happened to many, many people around the country. I've always had private dental treatment since I've been an adult and lived away from my parents - wouldn't have it any other way!
